About Cinnamon and the Bandit

Meet the Maker

Hi, I’m the maker behind Cinnamon and the Bandit. My creative story begins in the Appalachian foothills of Eastern Kentucky. I grew up on and around my grandparents’ farm, where I learned to sew, quilt, crochet, and cross-stitch at a very young age. Those early days—spent stitching, gardening, and helping preserve homegrown food—planted the seeds of a lifelong love for handmade artistry.

All through high school, I taught myself macramé and jewelry making, and later in college I expanded my creativity even further while majoring in music education and theatre with a minor in creative writing. Art, in every form, has always been a part of my life.

For many years, I crafted part-time whenever life made space for it. After teaching yoga for 15 years, I decided in 2019 to become a certified instructor. To help pay for my training, I began making old-fashioned hard tack candy—a small side project that quickly grew from sharing with a few friends to selling in a shop in Marysville and eventually hosting online sales through Facebook Live.

And that’s where the name was born: while making cinnamon candy, I had to wear face protection—at first just a bandana—and suddenly realized I looked like a bandit. Cinnamon and the Bandit was officially created.

Today, my creative world is bigger and more colorful than ever. I specialize in:

  • Fun flavors of old-fashioned hard tack candy
  • Gourmet cotton candy
  • Handmade jewelry
  • Alcohol ink art
  • Crochet and sewing
  • A touch of costuming
  • Digital content creation
  • Karaoke hosting
  • And private yoga classes

Everything I make is rooted in imagination, tradition, and the joy of sharing handmade magic with others. Thank you for being here, supporting my work, and becoming part of the Cinnamon and the Bandit story.
