Listening Practice

This week, focus on listening practice. Pause for a moment. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. What do you hear? Birds singing? Leaves rustling? Wind moving through the trees? Or perhaps silence, subtle and profound?

Yoga begins with listening—listening to the body, the breath, and the world around you. By tuning into sound and stillness, we cultivate awareness, presence, and a sense of connection.

Take a few minutes to simply listen. Notice the layers of sound and the gaps in between. Let each sound guide your attention to the present moment and deepen your sense of mindfulness.

Reflect: How does listening change your awareness of yourself and your surroundings? What new details do you notice when you truly pause and tune in?
